So, the other day my son Greyson, age 5, is playing with his Mos Eisley Cantina Lego set. I hear the laser blast, I see Gredo fall over... Greyson has only ever seen the "new" trilogy, so I ask, "Did Gredo shoot first?" He says, like I'm the biggest idiot on the planet, "No, Han shoots because Gredo was threatening him." (duh) I continue to probe, "Are you sure Gredo didn't shoot first?" Exasperated. "Dad, if Gredo shot first than Han would get hit, he's only 3 feet away"
The idea that Gredo shot first and missed is so stupid to him that he dismisses what he sees on the screen, although, to be honest, he is usually acting it out while he's watching, so the visual queue doesn't really register...
