Posting Habits

One of these days I'll start posting regularly... And not about anything specific, but right now, I just don't have enough to say that isn't being said by 10000 other people.

Our AG is a Moron, thats pretty much covered. He makes his ignorance known frequently, and Stewart and Colbert point that out.

Bush will mention Energy Independence in tonights SOTU, but he won't do jack, except make matters worse.

Reality TV still sucks. House and Monk are formulaic, but good. Studio 60 had a down episode last night. It just didn't work for me... Haven't watched Heroes yet. A hiatus this long makes me lose all inertia I have on a show... Thank god for Tivo (with Large HD).

I will try not to gush....

Gorillaz: Demon Days Live is probably the best live recording in several decades... Thats a bitch of an album to pull off live, and they made most of the songs as complete, if not more so than the studio versions... The odd thing is that the weakest tracks are the singles... Highlights for me are O Green World, Kids with Guns, Every Planet we reach is Dead, and Demon Days...

Best live DVD ever...

Ctrl+Alt+Chicken: Monte Cristo

So, I like watching Alex and Heather bumble around in the kitchen. I typically don't expect to learn much because I am a bit of a food network nerd, and also because I'm and OK home cook... So, the wife and I were watching the Monte Cristo episode, and she REALLY wanted to try one. She did, and sure enough, it was pretty good. I suggest you give it a try yourself the next time your arteries feel like they have some spare room...

I'm tempted to get a camera and film how most of their recipes are supposed to look for posterity.

Video Podcasts

Here's how I watch Podcasts. I don't own an iPod Video, and even if I did, no thanks... Sometimes I'll watch them on my PC. But what I really like to do is download them to my PC, and burn them to DVD as Data files (I use Xvid or Divx format). My DVD player then just reads the .avi's and plays them in alphabetical order. I have a Philips 642, which appears to be the most versatile DVD player I've ever come accross. It plays everything I've thrown at it.

Watching them on TV, I can get my wife to watch with me. She likes Ctrl+Alt+Chicken.

Veronica Mars 2.0

Just a little reminder, Season 2 of Veronica Mars comes out next week on DVD. If you haven't watched this show at all, DVD is the way to go, since order matters...

Bruce Campbell News Central

Bruce Campbell News Central
They are suggesting that Nathan Fillion could be the next Bruce Campbell... I would say that he is more like the next Harrison Ford, but I would also say that he brings the funny a little more than Harrison, so Bruce isn't a stretch...

I can go either way, but really, I just plain like watching Nathan on the big screen playing a big character.
